I’ve recently noticed hairs sprouting at the sides of my face and on my chin. How can I get rid of them?
As we get older rogue hairs can suddenly sprout all over the face but if you’ve experienced significant growth over a short period you should visit your GP, as occasionally it’s a sign of a hormone imbalance disorder. For sporadic hairs or those witchy, long ones, tweezers will do the job quickly painlessly and privately but for anything more troublesome try a course of IPL. This works by sending the light down the shaft of hair. The light hits the bulb of the hair and shatters it. You can’t have a tan when you go for this treatment because the light targets pigment and you could end up with some nasty brown marks that can last up to 18 months. Expect to pay around £100 for treatment depending on areas treated.
